Cruise Life
Cruise Life
We took a cruise around the Caribbean, stopping in several countries—including the Dutch island of Curaçao, where we got married! Cruising was incredibly easy for us since we sailed right from our home port—no long travel days, just straight to the fun. The moment we stepped on board, the party started!
One of the best parts? The ship’s kids’ club! The kids had the time of their lives—making new friends, eating endless ice cream, swimming, and just running wild (in the best way). I was a little worried I’d get seasick, but I barely even noticed the ship moving. Even though I packed all the Dramamine, I never had to use it!
There was never a dull moment onboard, with nightly shows and a variety of restaurants to choose from while we were at sea. At every port, we found new adventures—beautiful beaches, shopping, horseback riding—you name it. And of course, no trip of ours is ever complete without checking out some real estate! In Puerto Rico, we toured a hotel property investment that was being renovated. It had an incredible rooftop with a panoramic city view! San Juan was absolutely stunning, with its colorful buildings and the historic castle overlooking the water.
We also met up with friends and colleagues at several stops, which made the experience even more special—we got to immerse ourselves in the local culture in a way that felt so authentic.
A funny side note—Noelle had an emergency haircut right before the cruise because Lincoln decided to play hairstylist on her. I feel like this is an official parenting rite of passage! I still remember when my older sister did the same thing to me, lol.
Overall, I highly recommend cruising, but I do wonder how much has changed post-pandemic. Hopefully, the restrictions haven’t taken away from the experience! Has anyone been on a cruise recently? I’d love to hear how it was!
